Purpose

Agape Family Kingdom is committed to taking reasonable and appropriate steps to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone who participates in or comes into contact with its activities.

This includes trustees, staff, volunteers, members, visitors, beneficiaries, contractors and any other individuals who may be affected by the organisation's activities.

Our Commitment

Agape Family Kingdom seeks to provide an environment in which health, safety and wellbeing are considered an important part of responsible governance and good stewardship.

The organisation will seek to:

• identify and manage health and safety risks associated with its activities;
• take reasonable precautions to reduce the risk of injury or harm;
• maintain appropriate arrangements for responding to emergencies;
• provide appropriate information and guidance to those involved in its activities;
• encourage the responsible use of premises, facilities and equipment;
• consider accessibility and individual needs where reasonably practicable; and
• review health and safety arrangements periodically.

Risk Management

Agape Family Kingdom will seek to consider the potential risks associated with its activities and, where appropriate, carry out suitable risk assessments.

Risk assessments may be appropriate for gatherings, community events, children's activities, travel, outreach initiatives, use of equipment or any activity presenting particular risks.

Accidents and Incidents

Accidents, injuries and significant incidents arising from the organisation's activities should be reported through the appropriate reporting procedures.

Where required, incidents may be referred to the relevant statutory authorities in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Those responsible for overseeing Agape Family Kingdom's activities will retain appropriate oversight of health and safety matters.

Where responsibilities are delegated to staff, volunteers or other individuals, those responsibilities will be communicated clearly and exercised with appropriate oversight.

Emergency Arrangements

Where activities take place at premises used by Agape Family Kingdom, appropriate emergency arrangements will be considered according to the nature of the premises and the activities being undertaken.
